Weight says something about insulation

86 kg against 100: for the same external dimensions, greater weight corresponds to thicker panels. On a Finnish sauna panel thickness counts twice over: it shortens the heat-up time, because less heat is lost during the climb to temperature, and it lengthens cooling after the session. With frequent use the difference shows on the bill; with occasional use it matters less than the price. Either way, the gap between the two models stays modest.

The heater and the ritual

Both carry a stone heater that takes the air up to 90 degrees at low humidity. The ritual involves pouring water onto the stones with a ladle to generate löyly, the burst of steam that raises humidity for a few minutes and intensifies how the heat is felt. With 150 cm per side one person can lie on the bench; three people sit. The cabin arrives as a kit of pre-assembled panels and slots together on the existing floor, with no building work.
