Why it takes less space for the same capacity

In a Finnish sauna the space also serves the heat: the whole air volume has to be heated, and the heater requires a safety clearance around it. In an infrared cabin the radiant panels sit in the walls and act on the body of whoever is seated in front of them: the space needed is only the space for the people.
