What gets replaced on an infrared sauna

An infrared cabin has far fewer components subject to wear than a Finnish sauna, and the reason is structural: there is no stone heater. No element working at 90 degrees, no lava stones crumbling with every cycle, no probe sitting in dry heat. What to do if a panel stops heating

The typical fault on an infrared cabin is not wear but interruption: one panel that does not come on at all while the others work. Before considering replacement it is worth checking two things, in order: the connection of the individual panel, which may have worked loose, and the control unit, which on some configurations drives the panels in groups. If the problem persists, radiant panels can be replaced individually and do not require dismantling the cabin: send us the model and we will check availability.

Routine maintenance: practically none

This is the least advertised advantage of the technology. There are no stones to check or replace, and the humidity produced is far lower than in a Finnish sauna, so the timber surfaces suffer less. What remains is wiping the benches with a damp cloth and neutral detergent, and periodically checking that the panel grilles are not obstructed: a panel covered by a towel works badly and overheats.
