Whirlpool bath spare parts

Three components, three different faults

On an indoor whirlpool bath the spare parts that actually matter are few, because the components under stress are few. The 3 parts on this page cover the three faults that occur: the Air pump for whirlpool bath, the Heater for whirlpool bath and the Control panel mod. D, from € 476 to € 573.

Working out which of the three has failed

The symptom points to the component with reasonable precision, and this is the part that saves an unnecessary callout. If the air jets have weakened or stopped, and the pump hums without delivering, suspicion falls on the air pump. If the water does not hold its temperature during the bath while the hydromassage works normally, it is the heater. If the controls do not respond, flicker on and off or the unit does not start at all despite being powered, it is the control box. Where symptoms overlap, a diagnosis before purchase is worthwhile: replacing the wrong part does not fix anything and cannot be undone.

Where they sit and who replaces them

All three are housed in the equipment bay beneath the bath, reached through the removable front panel. If the panel was built in or tiled over during a refurbishment, the job becomes far more onerous: this is why inspection access has to be planned at design stage. Replacement involves components connected to both water and mains power in a bathroom environment, so it should be entrusted to a qualified technician.

Frequently asked questions about whirlpool bath spare parts

How do I identify the right part? Every component carries a code on the body or the label. Send us that along with the bath model: those are the two details needed for a match.

The jets are weak: is it the pump? Not always. Check first that the outlets are not blocked by limescale or bath product residue: it is the most common cause and requires no spare part at all.

Do these fit outdoor hot tubs as well? No. These parts are for indoor whirlpool baths. Outdoor hot tubs use Balboa components and have their own spare parts page.

Can I fit them myself? No. These are electrical components in a bathroom, in contact with water: a qualified technician is required, who issues the certificate of conformity.
